The WOC 2026 in Dresden

The World Orchid Convention Center (WOC) in Dresden is already over. What will be remembered is a fantastic orchid exhibition with a wide selection of orchids for sale.

However, the Iran-Iraq War also had its impact on the show. A decorative entrance area featuring cut orchids from Thailand, flown in via Tehran, had been planned. This idea had to be scrapped at the last minute.

An orchid christening was held in the name of the well-known saxophonist Tina Tandler, who then delighted the visitors with a fantastic concert:
