Paphiopedilum bullenianum  PFITZER

The individual “species” from the Paph. bullenianum group are difficult to survey and are rarely assigned "correctly". The differing views of taxonomists add to the confusion, as some species are considered merely varieties or even synonyms.
An assignment can often only be made via the geographical origin.

A very good source of information for these species is the American magazine "Orchid Digest". Dr. Fowliei, James Asher, Lance Birk and others, with the support of Ray Rands (a formerly successful stockbroker who then devoted himself entirely to his passion for Paph.), visited the natural habitats of the individual species and then presented them to an interested audience in the Orchid Digest.
