Paphiopedilum adductum is found on the Philippine islands of Mindanao at altitudes of up to 1300 m.
When plants of it reached Europe in the 1980s, they were long known as Paph. elliotianum have been offered. For a long time, taxonomists did not agree on which species it is.
Today this plant is known under the name Paph. adductum led.

This plant is not easy to cultivate. One of the reasons for this is that many "hard-leaved" Paphios are only supposed to make new roots once a year. If you miss this time, it will be difficult to get the plant in good condition.

Paph. adductum is to be cultivated warm and with high humidity.
