These species listed here are difficult to distinguish. According to their locality, the following distinction has been made:

 

Paph. godefroyae - eastern offshore islands (Birdnest Island) off Thailand in the Gulf of Krabi. These plants are said to have dots on the shoe

Paph. leucochilum - western offshore islands off Thailand in the Gulf of Krabi. These plants should not have dots on the shoe

Paph. ang thong - eastern offshore islands (south of Birdnest Island) off Thailand in the Gulf of Krabi. It is suspected that it could be a natural hybrid (godefroyae x niveum).

The plants can only be assigned with certainty if it is clear from which natural habitat the plants come.

These species are now being cultivated in Thailand - there are nurseries there that only propagate these species. Only the most beautiful specimens are used for breeding, the names are irrelevant.
