A plant with mottled foliage from the culture of Helmut Sang, as found in nature:
In 1986 I had the opportunity to study Paph. liemianum at the natural site.
After a 2-hour walk through the jungle and river courses, the guides suddenly pointed up a slope. With an incline of almost 45 ° we climbed from tree to tree to finally see the first plants after 20 minutes...
The plants often grew directly on the rock, but sometimes also in small pockets of humus. There were also plants with mottled foliage.
sorry for the not good quality from a slide
these plants were almost entirely covered with lichen...
Soil samples directly from the site brought interesting results:
N = 309 mg/l - P = 90 mg/l - K = 213 mg/l - Ca = 1476 mg/l - Mg = 216 mg/l
