The plants are found in Myanmar at an altitude of around 1100 meters on limestone with moss and leaf humus.

Paph. villosum var. boxallii forma atratum - Mr. Perner had successfully propagated this color variant in his nursery in China. Last year I bought two plants from it - one has flowered now:
