Paphiopedilum tonsum   STEIN

Paph. tonsum occurs in central and northern Sumatra (Indonesia) at altitudes of 1000 - 1800 m. Occurrence overlaps with Paph. curtisii in some areas. The natural hybrid of both species is Paph. x frankeanum emerged.

Several varieties have been described.

Paph. tonsum is to be cultivated in the temperate - warm area.
